I have to reset my DSL modem like 5 times a day or more because it keeps on failing on me. Is there anyway to fix this?

It might not be the modem, your IP might have changed and you are running through a router, reset the router

Reseting the router does nothing. Reseting the modem fixes the problem.

maybe someone is trying to get a few my doc files (5gb worth) and since the modem is being reset, the process takes longer ;)

maybe I only have 1.25 gb now

So someone is overstressing the modem?

not overstressing, just using the upload at 100%, so you need to get the 3/384 bellsouth plan.

So 100% stress knocks it off line?

And what is the 3/384 bellsouth plan?

http://www.fastaccess.com/content/consu ... jsp#xtreme

it doesnt knock it offline, but it does use it 100%, so you cant use it

What, are you too lazy to go to Cox's website and get it? Or perhaps you are incapable?

Yes, I am a lazy Republican American. I have the Democrats do the work for me.
