This is just such a nice piece of hardware, that I have to give a quick highlight. The HP L2335 is a wide-screen format LCD, that supports a jaw dropping 1920x1200 (UXGA) resolution. It supports DVI connection which provides a better signal than the traditional analog connections. The screen is mounted on a stand which can be raised or lowered, turned, and rotated to use for portrait mode.
This monitor is a pleasure to work on, screen real-estate is huge, and the clarity is very good. A popular item with the gamer crowd, this is also great for general use by those that really get down and work on a computer.
You can pick this guy up for around $1600, plus you'll need to make sure that your video card can support the 1920x1200 resolution, and you might as well make sure it supports DVI output too.
