Did anyone here ever OCed their Athlon XP 1800 B before.
It is to reach 200MHz FSB w/ 2.1GHz.
I was wondering if it could go more with just a copper 80mm heatsink w/ fan.
Share your experiences with this wonderful extreme OC AMD CPU.

I would go more extreme on the Heatsink...

OK, try it.
They only cost $50.
And can perform like $200 Intel CPUs.
Plus motherboard- $50

A P4 3.0GHz costs over $200.
And I was referring to a non-OCed to OCed comparison.
PS: Your CPU is not as fast as 3 Athlon XP 1800s overclocked to 3000 ratings (performance of 9GHz).
It would cost the same.
I would rather get AMD 6.3GHz than Intel 3.4GHz.

Bad News- I could only get my 1800 T-Bred B up to how high my 2100 T-Bred B could go up to: 200MHz FSB, 10x Multiplier
The result is 2.0GHz.
It performs like a 2400.
CPU is 47C.
Well, it looks like if I want to make a huge performance increase, it will have to be the 3400 for X-Mas. :P

I know copper is top of the line, but you might want to look at some liquid cooling.. They are getting cheap now

The cheapest water cooling kit is $169.00 at FrozenCPU.
That, I would say, is too expensive for just making your PC more quiet.
This is my order of increasing cooling options:
1 Heatsink ($52.99) w/ Fan ($14.00) @ a total of $66.99.
2 TEC Device ($98.99)
3 Vapor Cooling ($999.00)
