okay, i'm a computer intern at my high school. i have finally come across a problem i have never seen. the deal is this one computer won't type once it logs in to windows. i can type in the password in Novell Client to log in, but once windows boots up, whenever you try to type, the computer just beeps. i can hit the Num Lock key, and the Num Lock light goes off and on, but it still beeps. this is the only key that works (scroll and caps don't light up) i have tryed to replace the keyboard, but it didn't work. the board shouldn't be bad, since the keyboard types in novell client and the lights are on, so that must mean it is making contact. any thoughts to what is wrong with this?

Something has screwed up your Windows installation. Possibly some form of malware.

Yeah, or it might be spyware or a virus... Try running adaware and your installed anti-virus software.

This is really just a guess but what happens if you start in safe mode and re-install your Keyboard drivers?
