These are software benchmarks comparing XP Pro to XP 64 (AMD64). Amazingly, XP Pro is better in all the gaming benchmarks.

The reason for this is because MS Windows XP 64-Bit does not show the full ability of 64-Bit power.
But, for all you AMD fans out there, MS Windows Longhorn will be able to show 64-Bit CPU's full ability (or at least close enough to).
MS Windows 64-Bit is just a bridge. It uses our technologies to go into the 64-Bit world, just like the AMD K8 series.
The true power will be shown once we cross this bridge:
AMD K9s (+Cache 1, 2, 3; +GHz; +Hyper Threading; + Hyper Transport; +etc.)
MS Windows Longhorn
Anandtech's reason:
"We have to believe the drivers play a big part in this disappointing gaming performance."
Remember, this is only a trial version- NO GOOD DRIVERS
Once they get the drivers, the bridge will extend!
