Since MRAM keeps data when the power is off, hard drives will become useless. Considering that hard drives are mechanical devices and have their limits, this is good. And bye-bye to hard drives means bye-bye to more noise.

by the year 2010, we will have hardrive densities at 100's of Gigabytes per square inch, because of new ways to store the data. Plus the denser something is the less time it takes to retrive more of it. 7200 rpm @ 10gb/inch compared to 7200rpm @ 100gb/inch the latter would be better becuase for each revolution of the disk you get more info out.

*my opinion is soley based off little knowledge of how a hdd works, however, i've read articles that did say we will have densities that great by that time.
