I have a 64 bit CPU. Should I downlaod the
FREE PRE-REAlEASE? it is a one year deal. It sounds good, but what are the drawbacks I might face, or any damage that could occur?, thanks

I would at least download it and give it a shot. IF it turns into a royal pain in the @ss... Put XP home/Pro back on it
It's free.. ya have to at least try it! hehe

I tried it with my Athlon 64 2800.
It had some networking problems.
I would just wait for the final release.
Microsoft did say that for Windows XP users, the 64-Bit version (final release) will be like a free download.
And don't even consider not getting the final release.
64-Bit has a huge advantage over 32-Bit.
And the final release is free.
So it makes the deal even better.
