When it comes to computers, i usually know my stuff. However my computer has recently started lagging and it is quite annoying. I have done the obvious, relevent stuff, such as running virus, adware scans as well as a registry clean. However such procedures haven't speeded up the computer. When i start apllication's mainly IE, my computer often freezes. When i have gone on Task Manager > Processes - I noticed: iexplore.exe and explorer.exe were on around 32,500 K (Quite unsual for my computer). Can anyone help me or suggest how i can rectify the problem. BTW : My Computer stats: Intel Pentium 4 CPU , 1.50 GHz , 256 MB of RAM.

You may try in you're run box type "msconfig " then go to start up tab. Now try unchecking some of the running process, see what type of speed you get after unloading some un needed apps, if if gets better you may want to uninstall some of them.
