I just did a full system recovery on my computer which returns the computer to it's default settings (it's a compaq tool it is not thw Windows XP system restore feature). The computer backed up all of it's critical files and began to reinstall itself. After that I went through the process when you first get a computer with Windows XP. But at the end when I click the finsih button my nothing happens. The computer starts to run and the cursor changes to busy but nothing happens. It has been 2 hours and still nothing has changed. What could be wrong?

Reboot it and try a system recovery again if needed. If that doesn't work try a safe boot, let us know if that works. If it does then you may have a bad file in you're start up boot.
