hello there. i am running into the cyclic redundancy error in the setup screen of XP Pro at the 39th minute of installation, the harddrive of which has been reformatted. I have tried countless discs and everyone gives me the same error at the same time. I ran into this problem a few weeks ago and decided to make my first harddrive a second drive for my docs and music and bought a new seacrest 40gig harddrive for my programs. Using the same disc on the NEW harddrive, XP installed perfectly, but began running into some annoying bugs (ala not being able to empty the recycle bin, delete things in iTunes, etc). So now i really don't want to buy a 3rd harddrive if i can help it and am now thinking maybe it's my motherboard. Please give me some suggestions, i'm out of ideas myself and am willing to try most anything. Thanks in advance!
