Within the last week my computer has started to what i think may be overheating. When i turn it on it takes around 15 mins for it to start but, i can start to smell some kind of burning scent and am forced to turn the computer off. However we've had it running for over an hour while doing this and the computer didn't do anything strange but kept emitting that strong odor. If anyone has any suggestions i could really use them. I'm afraid my computer may catch fire after an extended use. Both the cpu and case fan are running and the computer seemed to slowly heat up to around 43C before i turned it off. It did however seemed like it might have gotten hotter. Thanks for the help

That smell might be from the dust in your case. Open up your case and blow any dust out.

aggressor may be correct, but nothing in ure case should get hot enough to burn dust except the power supply. Make sure the fans are dust free and working. Its not uncommon for the fan to quit working while the power supply is still ok. Most modern (PS) will automatically shut off if they get to hot. Some older ones will allow themselfes to simply burn up.
