Try upgrading to a newer version of firefox or just getting mozilla.

If you know anyone that has a good connection, have them save the file and burn it to a CD for you. The download is 4.7 meg, and that shouldn't be a problem with 56k. But the other things you have to look at is how is you're phone line connection, and do you have a good ISP. You can do a modem speed test at this link below to check you're equipment. Last but not least you may have a bad modem if you have really bad download speed, but run the test first and check.

Mozilla firefox has a weird eror in the downloading problem. For example, I was making a DVD movie project for my English 130 class, and I had to transfer about 10 gigs of random video clips from my laptop to my pc. Well, I decided to put it on a webserver my school has and download it from my pc. As I was downloading, the download monitor actually gave me a negative size. =P. Ok yeah I just thought that was funny.
