Is .Netcall any good?

I've finally convinced my parents to get broadband, and after a bit of searching for the best ISP, I found that .Netcall was very cheap - but I'd never heard of them before, so if someone who has could let me know what they're like, that'd be great...

They're DSL - but I've just realised, I'm from Australia, and this is an American forum, yeah? That's probably why you havent heard of them. I probably should have thought of that before I asked. My bad. Thanks anyway though.

Heh, yeah, different hemisphere. Anyways, I've used DSL, Cable, and Satelite. Cable depends on the provider, sometimes its better than DSL, sometimes it isnt. However, in general, Cable is better than DSL. Satelite has to be the worse, high (2 second) ping times and little bandwidth (250kbps). If you can get cable, I recomend it, if not, then dsl is the way to go.

A good cable connection with make DSL seem like the good ol' days of dialup. I strongly recommend a reputable cable provider. Here in the US (in Ohio, where I live)... I get 6meg cable (download speeds) for $43 a month, DSL is comparibly priced, but you're most likely only going to get 758kb-1.5meg for the same price. Good luck getting hook up in the land down under! 8)
