OK I had to reinstall windows xp over itself because of some kind of missing files. Now I can get into windows, but my old files and photos and in a zipped file called Owner and my access is denied. I need those files. Please tell me if there is any hope of recovery. Thank you kindley, Lora

In administrator mode, right click on the folders, change the permissions to allow all. You should now be able to access.

I have logged on as admin. and tried this and it says c:\Documents and settings\ Owner is not accessible Access is Denied Please ill do anything!!!!!!! Well maybe not anything:) Blessings, Lora
