Internet search history help

Heya, im having trubble with my internet search thing. i know how to delete search history, but you know when u click on the history tab, its comes up with a view button and a search button. when i click on the search button and type a #1 or a single letter, it comes up with links for sites that were vistied ages ago. not heaps jus like 16. these same ones are always here when i open a new page while on the net. even when im offline they show up but i cant obviously click on them. when i right click them wont let me delete them on or offline. i have gone into the advanced internet settings but still nothing. ive downloaded countless cookie cleaners etc.
so if u know how to get rid of em please tell me!
tools - internet options - content - autocomplete - clear forms
try these programs
