Help.....I Can't Get To My Info

I have a gateway desktop computer. I tried to turn it on tonight and all of a sudden it will not turn on. The light where the power button is will only stay orange. I tried to Hold it in and try again and it turns off, but then I push it again, and it becomes orange and won't boot. I have changed power cords, outlets, and still the same result. I removed the cover and the light on the motherboard is on next to where it is plugged in, so It is showing it is getting power. I have no Idea what to do and I need the Info on my Hard Drive for my work. It is irreplaceable. Please help me........
