Opearating system Windows2000. Internet explore 6. I started having this problem one day after, I guess, runnig ad ware or spy ware removal programs When I start internet explorer, I see IEXPLORER.exe in the task manager but no internet explorer window opens up. I then installed Internet Explorer 6 SP1. But I am still having the same problem. I have done all the tricks that I could find in the internet but no success so far. Meanwhile, I am using Netscape without problem to get to the internet. I'd appreciate any suggestion.

Try putting in the windows CD and use the option of adding/removing windows componets. Reinstall internet explorer.

Try not using or caring about IE because it sucks. Get Firefox. http://www.mozilla.org Thats all I can think of.
