Whenever I use a program that wants to open up a browse window or a save as, or save target as window, the program crashes. For example firefox crashes when i right click and click save target as, and azureus crashes when i open it up and try to tell it where to save a torrent. This is increasingly frustrating and im wondering if anyone can help me?

If you haven't scan with Adaware, Ccleaner, do a compleat (and up to date) virus scan. If this doesn't solve the problem, get Hijack this , download, save in a file (not temp) run and post the log here.

You're HiJack This look looks great, but what concerns me is the list of .dll files you have listed. If they have been changed you will have problems, with opening web pages and files. I would suggest that if you have the windows CD that you try the repair option(this will not rewrite you're hard drive) just fix files. Try this and let me know what happens.

I tried the repair and two strange things happened, #1 it said the repairable installation of windows was on D and its actually on C, and #2 when it was finalizing the installation it came up with two erros that said "has not been installed, cannot be registerd with windows update" something along those lines. avg was damaged when i started it up and i then reinstalled it and ran a scan and it still says, user32.dll, shell32.dll, and ntoskrnl.exe are changed
