I want to force my drive to record at any speed regardless of media quality. It is possible to foce my "High speed" drive to burn 16x-24x "Ultra speed" CD-RW at 16x speed? How? The CD will be readable? It will have a short "life"? Please help.

You can buy cd-rw's that record at high speeds, but a lot of times they are highly unstable and may only be usable once.
