Digital voice recorder

Hi all! This is my first post here, so I hope I get all the info to you the first time around!
I have an Olympus VN-240PC voice recorder that I purchased last spring. It's meant to be able to hook up to my computer so I can download data and it came with an installer disk. Well, I haven't used it until just recently and misplaced the disk. It shouldn't have been a problem, and I went to their site and downloaded the info from there.
It shouldn't have been a problem, but it seems to be. My computer won't recognize the new hardware without a disk to put in and I'm getting frustrated.
My computer is an HP zv5260 laptop. It runs XP home and has an Athlon 64 processor.
Does anyone have any ideas about how to get around this problem?
Thanks in advance!
