Hallo guys, I have a question about ping program. 1. Is it possibe , if I ping to an IP Address , I get 2 answer from 2 different hosts ? Or may be in another word, Is it Possible that 2 hosts in this world have the same IP Address (Not using NAT system) ? 2. Let say a gateway router (IP 192.168.2.0) has 255 hosts. Wenn I ping to 192.168.2.0 , can I get responds from it's children (255 hosts) , or I just get a respond from the router self ? Thanks in advance Jason

1. The only way someone could ever show up having the same ip as someone else is if it was dealing with proxies. 2. As long as ip passthrough is disabled on the router, it will only ping the router.
