unable to click links that open in new windows on IE

Hello. I'm having a very minor problem with my browsers. I know Firefox is so much better than IE. I much rather prefer it over IE, but sometimes you need it...hopefully this IE tab extension for mozilla will fix that. Anyway, I have this problem that when I try to click a certain link that opens a new window it turns white and freezes completely. The IE options and anything else does not work either. It's a dead window. I know I can revert it into "do not open links in new window mode", but still....this bugs me...why did it just happen? For the record, I didn't really want to use IE for this problem, but I recently had another problem except with media players (windows) in Firefox. I think I downloaded a codec and it rolled my WMP 10 codec back which meant that all windows media files played on a webpage turned into the old school windows media player (which sucks) so that should be easy to fix. After that I'll install Firefox. So this is just a stupid, minor problem. I'll probably figure it out in like 40 minutes maybe so don't worry about getting back to me on this. Just wanna know if anyone else had this problem and how they fixed it. Thanks!
