I have a weird networking problem.
It only is a problem when I go to LAN parties, but now that my parents are getting their own comp (and leeching my DSL bandwidth, lol) it's gonna affect them too.
Once everything's connected, all seems fine to me. I can access the other guys' files and such, my internet connection is A-OK.
However, even though I have sharing turned on for a whole drive (it shows up with a hand icon in my my comuter screen and everything), have persmissions set for it to be accessible by "Everyone" it still asks them to log on to get to my stuff. Even after giving them my admin name and pass it still says they don't have permission to access me. I don't see what's different, some of them have admin and limited accounts set up on their own comps and it works fine for them. It's not a firewall issue either, the only firewall I've ever had is the default Windows one. (not great, I know, but I'm gonna get a real one eventually)
I'm running XP SP2, and so is everyone I've been connecting to.
So how come I can access all them but none of them can access me?
Any ideas?
