I use the Swiftech MCX 462-V with a 92mm Vantec Tornado. http://www.swiftnets.com/products/mcx462-V.asp (used Artic Silver 5 as my thermal compound)

MB Probe from Asus says my cpu is 34*c and the mobo is 31*c

Current setup is:

Coolermaster "Wavemaster" case
Antec 550TRUE PSU
Asus A7N8X-E (Deluxe)
AMD 3200+XP (@2400mhz.. 200x12)
1536Mb Cosair CMX512-3200LL-Pro
Western Digital WD360GD (SATA.. 3.7g @10,000 rpm)

I have tried a few other heatsinks on the current setup, and this one worked the best for me. The second place finisher was the Cooler Master Jet7 (Turbine fan). It ran my rig at 37*c.

Room temp atm is about 75*f or 23.8*c.

I'm currently just using the retail fan that came packaged with my AthlonXP2500+ Barton, which seems to be doing a pretty good job on the A7N8X-E Deluxe board.

I also have a window & 80mm fan on the side of my case.

But, 1.83Ghz isn't enough, so I'm currently looking into some liquid cooling techniques.

The house's AC is set to around 70, but this particular room usually runs around 75 degrees.

If 1.83ghz isn't enough.. then buy a new CPU. You're going to spend $200-$300 dollars on a cooling system for a 2500+ Barton.. spend $300 on a new cpu and get yourself a new 3200 and a new heatsink.. total= $228.89 ... and no fear of water leaks

Greetings: I am an American living in the Philippines. With the temperatures here, we have to make sure components stay as cool as possible. Prior to moving where we live now, we lived in a room (yes room) that did not have air-con. So, we simply filled the cabinets with as many fans as each would hold. Also we installed 5.25" bay dual exhaust fans at the top of the towers. Until we moved to our new location (an office with aircon), it seemed to work. However, the CPU temps did climb a bit high at times. We only run Pentiums here, presently.

I use a fan and a heatsink to cool my crappy Intel Celeron 1.2GHz.
