As most of you have noticed, ComputerBB has plunged into the advertising sector. We are now displaying what is called Google AdSense on this site. Basically, they are ads auctioned off by google to companies. The comapnies with the highests bids win. The google gets their money and ad's their ads to Google'S database. A webmaster then gets accepted into the AdSense program and is able to display ads on his site. However, the ads are relevent to the content on the site. Google uses a special robot to crawl the site, the robot takes note of certain keywords on each page the AdSense is installed and then displays ads based on thos keywords. When people click on the ads, they are redirected to another site. Once someone clicks on the ad, the webmaster gets money from Google. If the webmaster get's over 100 dollars a month, Google sends him a check. If the webmaster gets less than 100 dollars a month from AdSense, google then transfers the funds to the next month.

Oh, we've seen it get significantly worse, and I've seen similar reports from other people. For example, we have pages about London hotels, which have been throwing up ads for self-catering in Ireland...

I haven't seen one displayed on my site yet either. I imagine it will take a little bit of time to get going while Adwords users create/select image ads.

I haven't either. If anything, ads on my sites have been more accurate recently.
