Wireless Keyboard Problems

I have lately been having problems with my keyboard.
These problems include:
Misinformed signals (like letter e = esc)
Destroyed signals (like no response)
I am guessing I have to replace the battery.
Does anyone else who has a wireless keyboard experience these problems?
Also, if you were wondering, I now have my receiver right up to my keyboard.

Also, if you were wondering, I now have my receiver right up to my keyboard.
Do you mean.. as close as you can get it?
I've worked with other wireless devices and generally speaking.. you can't have the transmitter and the receiver within 18-36 from eachother.
If you put them to close together the signal is over powering and the receiver can't make out a distinct signal/frequency.
I'd suggest seperating the keyboard and receiver atleast 24 inches, to allow the wireless signal time to "develope" (basically).
Are there any other wireless devices near the one you're having problems with? Are you using rechargable batteries?

My mouse has been working OK with the receiver about 6 inches from it.

I don't have rechargeable batteries.
I moved my receiver but the reason I had it so close was because the signal was being ignored and I thought it wasn't strong enough to travel from the ground to my desk.
