According to some studies on computer sells, AMD is no longer an underdog. With 47-52% of the desktop market owned and with 24% of the notebook market owned, AMD is going up.

If you don't believe me, go here.

What does this mean? Cheaper PCs for everyone!

AMD can't take over the market unless Dell sells computers with AMD, which will never happen. Dell is the most popular computer manufacturer.

Face it, Dell is finished unless they adopt AMD64. Nobody likes Dell. :P

And from all the signs we have been seeing, there is a high chance Dell will adopt AMD64 very soon (like this year).

No one except the typical computer buyers which make up over 90% of the computer users out there.

Well, according to your spying, most people have Gateways.

And anyway, the point of this post is that AMD controls more of the desktop market than Intel finally. Dell, by this fact, is failing.

Thank you. Yet more proof Intel is still more popular than AMD and always will be...

Well, I saw a lot of AMD64 (1/10min) and nVidia (1/10min) ads at CompUSA, but no Intel. I was there for 30min. I guess even monitors are more popular than Intel at CompUSA. Even this guy turned down this awesome system (GeForce FX 5950) because of the Pentium 4 alone. I was right next to him.

Probably because he wanted an EE.

No, he was trying to convince the tech. that Athlon 64s are faster and that they should build a similar system with it. I think he was from the AMD Forums. A bunch of them are getting Athlon 64 Systems. :) I don't really think, however, that he was trying to buy a system. I guess he was doing a favor for AMD.
