I just went and bought Panda Antivirus 2k4 and have 1 question about.

Will running it in the background (taskbar) have any negative affects toward my online gaming? ie. increase ping, or decrease connection speed?

it usses little system resoruces but it is recommended that it be turned off during gaming

Umm.. I might aswell not install it then All I do is play games and send a few emails here and there.

It is not safe for a gammer to not have any anti-virus protection.. I advise you to install it
