AMD Athlon 64 FX-53 (939) VS Intel Pentium 4 3.6GHz (775)

Well, Intel did improve, but only a little. Instead of winning 1/10, Intel won 5/20 with the 3.6GHz CPU. The chipsets do look nice, but AMD is still in the lead. Nice try Intel. :P

You are comparing a 32-bit processor with a 64-bit processor.. What are you talking about

Uh, they are not using 64-Bit in those tests.
And 64-Bit does not improve performance.

It will improve performance. When we aren't having to use beta drivers on a unfinished OS. (Not counting Linux)

Well, I am talking about what we have now. The tests could have not utilized 64-Bit quality.

This is because of drivers. Once we can get good drivers coming for 64 bit XP It should be quite nice and the Athlon should really scream.

Driver support is why i think Microsoft hasn't released WinXP 64 yet.
