The computer first gave blue screen error messages and now I finally was able to get it to boot. Now, the OS is missing a few letters in some words. (ex. "Start" now says "S" with a few spaces in front of it.) I have run Ad-Aware on it and cleared up the mess but the problem is still there. Any suggestions? I think I might have to reformat.

It looks like a virus got to you.. I would get the important files while you can and reformat
