Many people think that their so-called gaming system can take on any game at max settings. It is time to see if you can actually do this. Doom 3 comes out August 3 and will be the most powerful game out there. Here are the "Worry Free Specifications."

3 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 chip or AMD Athlon 64 3000+
1 gigabyte of memory
Two gigabytes of hard drive space
An nVidia 6800 graphics card or an ATI X800XT
6.1 surround sound audio

However, if you want the best performance, this system comes out on top.

Mine is handling Doom 3 at 1024*768 on high quality smoothly.

It took some tweaking to get there though, but it all worked out
