Boot up problems after altering AGP aperture in BIOS

Post by BadTechGuy08 »

Wondering if anybody can help, i was trying to play a game earlier and on boot up it told me that my AGP was deactivated, and that gameplay may not be consistant. So i went into BIOS and saw that my AGP aperature size was 64mb, i think this is the default. I heard it should be half your RAM. but foolishly i increased it too high, i think to 512mb. on boot up my computer makes a number of quick beeps, atleast 8. ive tried a number of things to fix this problem. i suppose i have put the aperature size too high, and i dont have enough memory, but i cant get back into the bios to change this. does anybody know how i can resolve this prolem ?

Try removing the battery on the motherboard, leave it out for five minuts, that will reset the BIOS to default.
If I could remember all I have forgotten, I would be a smart man.
