When I click start/run & type scanregw I get a message telling me that it can`t find the file & to make sure all the required libraries are available. If i type in scanreg, it restarts the computer. When I used to type scanregw, I received a message that the registry has already been backed up today & would I like to back it up again.....NOT SO NOW. Can anybody help me please? I have Hijackthis installed, in case you require the log file of my computer. MICK79 [email protected] Thanx.........

You didn't say what you're op system is, if you post a hijack this log I will look at it for you. I found some information on scanreg that maybe helpfull to you. http://www.wintrouble.net/discus/messages/53/137.html

Look for the file scanreg.ini in the windows directory.....there are some settings in there....use notepad. might give a clue regards mike ps...scanreg is the dos version so probably will reset things
