Juno problems

I have Juno 5.0 for internet and email. Often when I disconnect from the web, Juno displays an error message and then closes. The same happened this time but when i tried to reopen it, it said it needed to be reinstalled. I reinstalled in the same folder, as it says to do on the Juno website, so that the emails and address book would be saved. When I opened Juno, i had no emails, no address book or anything. They are not anywhere on my computer, or on the juno server. Is there any way I can get these messages and addresses back? And...just what happened? Also, any recommendations for low cost ($20/month or less) internet providers would be gladly accepted.
