1/2 New Orlenas is Underwater From Hurricane Katrina

Post by Aggressor Prime »

Wind damage (Superdome has 2 big holes in it.) Flooding (Neighborhoods along the Mississippi are underwater.) Looting (The looting is severe in New Orleans.) In general, this storm has greatly damaged South East Louisiana. In fact, WDSU says that this is the worst disaster that has ever hit South East Louisiana.

I just hope our friends evacuated. It sounds like our house would be underwater by now. :( And the looting in New Orleans is crazy. Black people are stealing like crazy.

Yeah i heard about that today on the news...aparently damages will cost insurance companies around 25 billion dollar...making it one of the most expensive hurricanes in the US's history...

I'm looking at the pictures. The bridges have been wiped away. The highways are actually gone. Update: The Mayor of New Orleans said that 80% of New Orleans is underwater.

I was in New Orleans two days ago. The floodwater is down some but not all gone yet. Some parts of the city (especially closer to the lake and east of the industrial canal) still have ten feet of water or more. My house didn't flood at all and there is minimal wind damage. The total death count for all 4 states is just a couple hundred, far left than the 10 thousand initially predicted.
