Bad IP problem...Might be hacked?

Post by legatolemans »

I got some weird problems and I don't understand all the information i'm discovering so please help me out. here's the situation: i have 1 computer on a network that is acting up. the internet connection disconnects/reconnects randomly. i checked the dhcp settings on my router, and my computer is identified as an 'unknown' machine. the other machines on the network are identified correctly with their corresponding names. then i ran ipconfig and found some really strange stuff(*see attached.) I've fiddled with some settings in Windows for Network id/naming, but i'm not sure if i've done all of them. I updated the NIC drivers, ran ipconfig, and got the same weird results. Also, i went to the router, and turned off UPnP, Gaming Mode, and Remote VPN pass through or something. Anyway, the the internet connection seems fine now, but i don't know how long it will hold up on the machine!? -Am I being hacked? -Need help fixing the Network ID/Logon option Let me know what you think, thx in advance, gabe *ATTACHED:

Hi Is the "strange stuff" the tunneling thing? If so it might be related to IPv6 (the latest IP addressing standard). The following url contains some links that you may find helpful. Cheers Steve
