Game Controller Problems

Post by IDI »

hows it Ive just recently purchasec a "Boom PSX + N64 Convertor" which allows a user to use a N64 or PSX controller on ones computer, and i am have having trouble configuring it, I plug it in and WinXp picks it up and installs it, but i dont think its installing it correctly as when i go to "control panel" "game devices" it displays the N64 controller as a 4 axis controller when ive read its only 2?. when i configure the calibration its asks me to calibrate the X and Y then the Z I dont want the Z axis there at all, does anybody know how to configure the contoller so it has only 2 axis? ive tired to "Add" a new device but it wont let me add one with 16 buttons and a 2 axis joy stick, even when ive made another controller device in the game device panel (which hasnt the buttons i need) i cant assign it to the game controller as the other is linked to "device manager". Anyway, can anybody help me make my computer reconszie the controller as a 2 axis rather than 4?. Thanks to anybody who can help IDI

http://arcadecontrols.com/Mirrors/www.z ... m/dpadpro/ Try these drivers instead; they're the ones I use when I homebuilt those convertors.[/url]
