Save movies to DVD? Help

Post by stuckfromlancashire »

Just bought & installed DVD RW. Tried to send movies created on windows movie maker to DVD but right click to "send to" and the DVD RW doesn't appear there. Tried all the usual ways but it seems it won't work. Can anyone tell me - in simple terms - what I must do or what the machine is missing? I can send them to CD but not to DVD. Can't understand why.

im no expert what what i am thinking is that you need to save it to your hardrive and then go into nero or get nero cause its really easy. once in nero you can do the option to add video files to create a movie that can b played in dvd players. hope that helps

Thanks for your reply. We downloaded nero and tried to add video files, but when we press "add" and try to locate the movies, it only finds the actual folder they are contained in. When we then open that folder in nero, there is nothing in it. Seems to me like it's not recognising the movie files. If it helps at all to fathom this out, our movies are saved in "My videos" and are "Windows Media Audio/Video file" in the properties. Sorry if I sound like a technophobe - I am guilty of that.
