Windows 2000: Shell/CMD.exe execute problem.

Post by SACCETTA »

Whenever I run a program from the start->run menu, or when I type in CMD at start-> run, I get an error. for "command" it's: "Cannot find the file 'command' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available." But here's the weird part: the command prompt/program still pops up and runs, and the start->run window appears again. I get a similar error when I type "notepad". Normally I would just ignore this error, but it is causing a problem when I put any sort of shell execution into any application I write, and VC++ 7.0 projects I work on cannot compile because it can't run VCSPAWN.EXE. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a solution? Thanks, Stephen
