could it be java?

Post by championvette »

i deleted a bunch of stuff from my computer cause i only had like 2% free space and when i tried to go on the internt, or even open limewire, it was just a blank screen. When i open my browser, it says it contains no data. i may have deleted java, is that why nothin will work. but when i tried to dl it on my laptop and transfer it to the computer, its not a valid Win32 application. /?? any help would be appreciated! thx.

Hmm you may save a lot of head scratching by reinstalling windows over the top.......you applications should be left intact.......sounds like you deleted something a bit critical. As for saving space look for left over installation packages....some can be like 50 megs.........java puts on 50megs worth of stuff that is not needed to run and is there as a backup......but you would simply reinstall if there was a problem. IE may have left a backup of an old version too. Limewire uses java.......try shareza if you are still stuck......its on the same network.I dumped java as its slow to boot, huge, slow to run and websites are moving away from it anyway using flash instead which is much neater plus the IE/windows version is insecure. Hope you get sorted mike
