Imagine a Laptop with these specs:
nVidia nForce 3 Go 250
AMD Athlon 64 3400 DTR
2 1GB PC3200 DDR
nVidia Quadro FX Go 1000
4 WD SATA 73GB Raided Raptor Hard drives.
2 Lite-On 8X DVD+/-RW
17" WVA WUXGA 2048x1536 Res. LCD

With a monitor that size it would be too big for a laptop. 15" is the max for reasonable portability.

Lots of laptops have a 17" monitor.
It makes it a good entertainment system.
The only reason you don't like it is because you have a 15" LCD.

DTR Laptops use DTR or Desktop Replacement CPUs. These, in Intel's case, are the desktop CPUs themself.
For AMD, AMD just changes the name from Athlon 64 to Athlon 64 DTR.
Its the exact same CPU. Except it has a smaller heat spreader.
