Drivers for Linux

Post by ccb056 »

Smartweb, just out of curiosity, where do you get your NVidia Graphics card drivers for linux and how do they differ from the windows drivers. Also, what drivers do you need to download (one's that don't come with linux).

The drivers for my GForce4 MX 440 come packaged with Fedora 1, Red Hat 9, etc. I honestly haven't had to go downloading drivers for my devices. Linux came with all the drivers.

Yeah. I have sound and all. Worked out of the box with the exception of Internet and installed applications.

When you say internet, you don't mean the network drivers do you?

No, I mean that I didn't know what DHCP was when I set up Linux for the first time. :D
