hail Intel and the P4. They are teh greatest. Yeah....right.........ummmm i mean.....NO.

Oh, and you better be prepared to back your your "AMD bashing" with facts and links. There is no reason for an Intel at the moment.

This is the only safe haven for INTEL fans since the entire forums is an AMD controlled enviroment. PM outperforms AMD 64's on laptops!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was the two best given at that point in time, that is the best that is currently released, not what has been "paper launched" and only given to reviewrs.

read it and weap
Read and weep for what? That proves nothing, it gives no good comparison between the mobile Athlon 64 and the Pentium M, none. Sorry can't say I am weeping

The Athlon 64 FX-51 creams all of those CPUs. AMD now has the Athlon 64 FX-53s. Also, 3800 ~= FX-53 ~= 3700. Thus, 3700 in a notebook is #1.

All I am asking is for links to back up your claims. Looking at that site, it only shows the Pentium-M's score, not the Mobile A64. It has a score of N/A. Som obviously they weren't trying to compare the two processors (which its hard to do on a laptop system, getting two with similiar setups).

Agressor Prime: we were discussing the Mobile processors, there is no dispute on desktops :)

The mobile A64 is a better performer than Pentium_M (or Centrino), It is a good processor, has great battery life, but it does not outperform the mobile 64.

Oh yeah, THATS a great benchmark to show the overall performance of two processors. Especially when considering we don't know what it benchmarks, what all test it runs. So im deffianntly not going to weep over that ;)

Why do you think most people on this forum like AMD? There has to be a reason.

I'm not going to allow bashing of a product without legitimate backup. Oh, and one benchmark made by a magazine is not going to be biased anyway? Besides, it is only one benchmark, each architecture has its benefits and strong points. So saying one is better by looking at only one benchmark is ridiculous. Especially when comparing a processor that isnt publically available ;)

I guess bashing AMD make you feel better for having purchased the worst processor architecture ever developed, Netburst for the P4 ;)

Wow, talk about a turn around in this thread ;)

Why would people even like AMD over Intel though including extremists?

monte you don't get the gist of it, this is a place for people to make fun of amd even though they are better in some ways. this place is for amusement of intel people making fun of amd. i don''t care if what i say or other people say is complete BS anyway amd is a german company. Looking at germany's history leads me to belive this will be only temporary time where AMD will be king.

I am not allowing the "bashing" of a company without any legit info to back up post with. So if your posting something against AMD or any company, that is incorrect I will be there to straighten things out. After all this is a help forum, why do senseless fanboy ashing here?

Headquarters: Santa Clara, California

AMD was originaly just a memory company (i think) and still have a good market in flash memory. Only their Processor fabs are in germany.

Ok, I am With Monte84. If any of you can prove to us, and other forum members that the P4 or Intel for that matter is superior to AMD, go right ahead, but until then, just shut it. I seriously want to see some good links here, and just know that i have a rebuttle. There many users that know that the Athlon 64 is simply put...SUPERIOR...to the P4 architecture, and any other architecture that Intel puts out, at least for the next 18 months! lol. really what do you Intel guys have over us AMD guys on the desktop side..lets not mention the Ownage the opteron is putting on Intel...lets stick to Desktop.
