It looks like an excellent article Smartweb. Now, more and more people can use AMD64 technology through Linux. And when Windows 64-Bit for AMD64 CPUs comes out, there will even be more people using AMD64 technology. I always like to see people who like change. You don't find a lot of people these days very often that can switch from Windows to Linux easily. I am very glad that you know what you want and go for it Smartweb.
As for me, no matter how easier Linux is to use than Windows; I just have to stay Windows. I am just as much a Windows freak as I am an AMD or a nVidia freak. It is just what I am used to. And besides, with no problems with my Windows XP Corporate Edition (Hopefully AMD64 edition soon
), I'll stay Windows.
But if you do not like Windows, don't use it. Software and hardware is not black and white. It comes in 32-bit color.

Linux is better then windows because it can install things for you. I must not quite get the point of the article. I install things with windows pretty easily, just hit next a few times, because u define where u want to go, and tell weather or not u want full feture or not. In that article it looks like it taking away that control of specifying the feature and defining where u want it to go. Plus at what time will u need to update more then one item, unless you reformat, but in a Linux world you never need to reformat, plus if MS does get around to "fixing" its installer to be like Linux it will probably be just as good at not needing a reformat. Also to me the only useful thing in that artcle is the auto update, which is nice.
Money can buy what you don't have.
