I first couldn't update my Ad-Aware through itself.
So I installed it and downloaded the 1.0.4.0 version.
Then I restarted my computer.
When I tried to install the 1.0.4.0 version, half-way through installation I got this message, "An I/O error occurred while installing a file. This is normally caused by bad installation media or a corrupt installation file." It had two options: Abort or Retry.
Retry failed and Abort cancelled the installation.
I then downloaded it from another site and deleted my old files.
I then cleared my system of Spyware.
I restarted and tried again. No luck.
Please help!

The program is a x86 program. I have a x86 CPU. Thus, it should work. Thus, it now works.
