This contest will test the gaming power of your system. Simply run Futuremark's 3DMark03 Build 340 with approved drivers. After you run it, post your score.

Mine score is 1454.

That CPU really shines at 3GHz.

Now if you get a GeForce 6800 GT, you might be able to boost your score to 6000 or more.

Mine is 4993, i know i can break 5000 if i reboot, before i ran this i closed all my programs, but using xp that isn't as good as rebooting i'll post a higher scre if i get one. the 6800 Ultras got 12500 where as X800 XT got 12800 not much difference.

Actually, the 6800 Ultras should get much higher than the X800 XTs because of their superior drivers.

thats not what the results say so maybe it really isn't a superior drive. oh and my score when i rebooted is 5016, not much of an increase but 5000 sounds better then 4990.

Trust me, nVidia beating ATI in Doom 3 with less MHz means they have better drivers.

you've brought my computer knowledge to its peak what is a driver really, plus amd is beating intel by arhicitecture maybe its the architecture i need a few defs. to get thing right.

Architechture = CPU Layout and Core Quantities such as size, cache, GHz limits (ex. NetBurst, Prescott)
Drivers = Software that runs the hardware. (ex. ForceWare 61.77)

Being that Doom 3 is the most graphic demanding game, yes it was optimized to work on the 6800 Ultra.

Refresh rate is an output (monitor related). It does not effect caculations.

Doom 3 is openGL, ATi has had pretty poor OpenGL drivers for awhile now. And no, nvidia will not outscore ATi in 3dmark03 because of "superior drivers" especially since 3dmark03 is DX9 which ATi is actually a bit faster in
