I have three computers in a home setting on running Windows XP home version. One computer in connected through AOL Broadband over the telephone line. AOL is my ISP. The three computers are hooked up through D-Link. That system appears to be working as the shared files are visible and the printers can be accessed from other computers. I have set the copmuter connected to DSL to Allow other network users to connect through this computer. I have also set Establish a connection to the internet.
I cannot connect to the internet from either if the other two computers.
mmmmmm..I,m not an expert but I found windows internet connection sharing software totally incomprehensible and didn't work for me so i tried proxy plus(free for up to 3 machines).google for it...or something similar.installed .ran.setup using their instructions and hey presto everything simply worked
So what I am saying is try out third party software .......
if you have broadband, then simply plug the modem into a router, plug the computers into the router, and have the router setup as a dhcp server so the computers can get all the ip addrresses and dns servers they need
