Virtual Memory
What i'm aware of is that Virtaul Memory is the substitution of Hard Disk Space to provide addition RAM style memory for the system (Can you correct me if i'm wrong please
). Anyway, does anyone know how to increase the amount of Virtual Memory that your PC uses? Thanks

Having more Virtual memory will speed stuff up so long as you have adequate disk space to substiture for it. I have 1024Mb Virtual memory, 512 off each Drive now. The hard drive is not too slow, one using EIDE and both operating at 7200 RPM.

It depends on your HDD space, follow the instructions commanche gave -
"...in windows go to control panel --> performance and maintenance --> system --> click the advanced tab --> click settings button under performance --> click advanced tab --> look at the bottom is a "change" button for virtual memory..."
and you should be able to change the amount of virtual memory you want windows to use (So long as you are using windows). The amount / type of RAM you have is nothing to do with virtual memory, just how much HDD space you want it to use. Such a great invention...
