HELP! The monitor on my Thinkpad 600x...

The monitor on my Thinkpad 600x goes black almost immediately...what can I do?

does it go black during the boot process or while in windows?

it goes black while in windows... if i close the laptop and then open it it will come back for a couple of seconds ... it will also come back if i hit Fn and f7 at the same time ... but then it goes black again ... i can see my desktop slightly so it does not go completely black ...

hmm, try reinstalling the video drivers; also check the power saving settings

where do i get the video driver to reinstall?

look for the laptop's model number at the manufacturer's website

yes, download and install the latest video drivers also, check and make sure that the monitor isnt set to go off after a few minutes, this is in the power saving settings
