seagate crashed hard drive

Post by suds99 »

I have a seagate barracuda 7200.7 that is not detectable in the bios on boot up. is there any way of making it the slave drive and reading the data from it. do you know of any software that specifically works for seagate and is able to do this?? Thanks

put it in a ziplock bag and keep it in the freezer overnight, then in the morning hook it up to your computer, make sure you have another hard drive plugged in, it works best if they are both master on seperate channels, then copy all the needed data from the bad drive, then throw the bad drive out and get a new one
